A Few Words About Word Sets
I thought I’d talk about Word Sets today, both Photopolymer and Wood-Mount, especially giving you some tips about lining them up. Clear-Mount Word Stamps use the same alignment tips as Photopolymer, so I’m not including them here.
I’ve talked about Photopolymer stamps before in my article: Photopolymer Stamps: They’re All Clear. Today I’m going to give you some additional tips.
The stamp set on the right in the photo is the Photopolymer Stamp Set, Another Thank You (136835). I always need Thank You Notes, so I scooped it up as soon as it was available. Since Photopolymer Stamps are transparent, they are easy to place where you want them. The Word Stamps can be bent into a variety of shapes if the sentiment is all on one line. You can also place two words or phrases on a Clear-Mount Block to get your complete greeting. When you do this, be sure to line up the words in a straight line with the Grid Paper (130148). Unless you want them in a curvy line!
I’ve given tips on Word Sets before in my article, Word Stamps: Wood-Mount Them. I also did a video, “Aligning Word Stamps,” that shows you how. The Word Stamp Set on the left in the photo is my back-up Go-To word set, And Many More (134273). By the way, bookmark this page because I spent a few hours getting the arrangement to fit in the Stamp Set Case and you can use the placement for your own set. Wood-Mount Word Sets are my favorite. Once you get them aligned, all you need to do is place the block and you have a straight impression every time!
