Background Inspiration from Anywhere
I saw a Background Inspiration for the Shaving Cream Technique in Disneyland… or was it Disney’s California Adventure? Anyway, the photo shows part of a panel that is marbled and looks just like a two-color Shaving Cream Technique Background.
I haven’t had a chance to try it yet, but I’m thinking of squirting out a pile of shaving cream on a plastic plate, then tinting it with Crumb Cake or Peekaboo Peach Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill. I recommend blending the color in gently so the fluff stays and will hold the marbling. Then, sprinkle a few drops of Soft Suede Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill over the tinted shaving cream and marble lightly.
Finally, press a piece of white Card Stock into the cream and remove. Wipe off the excess cream and let dry. If the marbling is too dark, use another piece of card stock and repeat. This will give you two or more backgrounds. You can use Whisper White, Shimmery White or Glossy White Card Stocks to make your backgrounds. I think the Thick Whisper White would be too absorbent and you might not like the effect. I’ll have to try that, too.
