I love making gift card holders and using them for the front of a greeting card. This cheers card is good for birthday or congratulations occasion – and it holds a gift!

The pattern from the It’s My Party Designer Series Paper Stack includes Mint Macaron and Crushed Curry. Those are the card stock colors I used for the card base and front background layer. There are four sheets of each pattern, so you have plenty for a greeting card envelope that matches.

The Gift Card Envelope and Trims Thinlits Dies make a nice 4” x 2-3/4” Gift Card Holder which can fit some purchased gift cards complete with the folders that come with them. After you adhere the envelope to the card front, close the flap with a Glue Dot. Your recipient can usually open the Gift Card Envelope without tearing it.

I adore the bow in the Cutie Pie Thinlits Dies. It’s so easy to make one from scraps! It also works well if the bow is crushed down. You can “fluff” it up with a pencil or leave it flat for mailing.

You’ll need to carefully lay the Gift Card die on the paper. The Big Shot Magnetic Platform is 6” wide, so if you use a 6” x 12” piece of Designer Series Paper to die-cut the envelope, you should have enough room. You’ll also have a nice amount of leftover paper if you line up the die at one end.

It’s easy to make a card from your Gift Card Envelope as you can see. Just pick card stock colors that match the ones used in the pattern you chose. Stampin’ Up!® always includes the colors with their Designer Series Paper descriptions.
