Cotton Paper Flower with Bag
I described how to make the Cotton Paper Flower in yesterday’s article and mentioned that I would attach it to a bag and post it on my Facebook Page in a few days. Well, I changed my mind. I thought we should have a Real Life Color Coach discussion and talk about the Cotton Paper colors of the flower and the Designer Series Paper colors of the bag.
The Cotton Paper Flower colors are Watermelon Wonder from the Red-Orange Color Group, Bermuda Bay from the Green-Blue Color Group, Crushed Curry from the Yellow-Orange Color Group and Cucumber Crush from the Green-Yellow Color Group. The four colors create an Analogous Plus Color Scheme. I last talked about Analogous Plus combinations in my Watermelon Wonder Bowl of Cherries Card article. This scheme includes Green-Blue, so the Plus has more oomph. The combination screams “Let’s Party” to me.
Adding depth to the color scheme are Mossy Meadow, the Shade from the Green-Blue Color Group, Blushing Bride, the Tint of the Orange-Red Color Group and Pool Party, the Tint of the Green-Blue Color Group. These colors are in the pattern of the bag, which is made with Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper and the Gift Bag Punch Board. I tied off the bag with a length of Cucumber Crush 1” Dotted Lace Trim. The Birthday Bouquet pattern is a bit more subdued than the Cotton Paper Flower, but the colors still coordinate.
Besides Party, this combination is good for any Celebration, Friendship, Graduation, Thank You or Summer. The Birthday Bouquet patterns by themselves are also good for Sympathy and other less exuberant occasions.
