Designer Series Paper Stacks as a Tool

Playful Palette Designer Series Paper Stack - Visit http://www.3amstamper.comYou know I’ve been doing a lot of projects with the Playful Palette Designer Series Paper Stack (141657).  The most recent one was the Simple Rose Thank You Card.  I find it’s a great tool to use for both cardmaking and pagemaking!  I like this particular DSP Stack mainly because the patterns use three out of the five new 2016-2018 In Colors (Emerald Envy, Sweet Sugarplum, Peekaboo Peach) and the other two (Dapper Denim and Flirty Flamingo) coordinate with the various designs as well.

Designer Series Paper Stacks are pads of 6” x 6” square sheets of double-sided paper.  Each pad contains 48 sheets, 4 each of 12 different double-sided designs.  This gives you 24 different patterns and enough of each to create stacks of cards and pages!

The advantage to the 6” square size is that you can make mats for your typical 4” x 6” photos (you may want to trim the photos a bit), as well as use a whole sheet for color-blocking on scrapbook pages.  Here is a page idea I did a while back: Whirligig Scrapbook Page Fun to Make article.  The color blocks are smaller than 6” x 6”, but you get the idea.  The excess paper after you trim the sheet is good for everything from paper ribbon to smaller color blocks.

I made a list of suggestions for using Designer Series Paper Stacks back when the Stacks were 4-1/2” x 6-1/2”.  I’ve updated it somewhat for 6” x 6”.

Card Maker Uses:

  • Patterned Background for 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″, 3″ x 3″ or other size cards, trimmed or not.
  • Paper “ribbons”.
  • Patterned Die Cuts.
  • Patterned Punches.
  • Fancy Folds/Origami.
  • Envelope Linings.

Scrapbooker Uses:

  • Photo mats for standard 4″ x 6″ photos, trim the photos.
  • Color block or Crazy Quilt backgrounds, trimmed or not.
  • Paper “ribbons” & strips (easy to piece together).
  • Patterned Die Cuts.
  • Patterned Punches.
  • Fancy Folds/Origami.

Other Paper Crafting Uses:

  • Lined/Reversible treat boxes.
  • Lined/Reversible treat bags.
  • Paper “ribbons” & strips (easy to piece together).
  • Patterned Die Cuts.
  • Patterned Punches.
  • Fancy Folds/Origami.
  • Handmade Paper (use up your scraps).

I’m sure you’ve got more ideas to add.  Please email me or add your suggestions in comments below.
