Favorite Hallowe’en Colors
I just had to dig into my vault and show you a Hallowe’en card design using my Favorite Hallowe’en Colors. This card is digital, made with the retired My Digital Studio and you can see the original article here.
Unfortunately, my favorite additional Hallowe’en Colors retired quite some time ago and the samples I made didn’t make the transfer when I moved my blog. I loved these colors to represent potions: Lovely Lilac, a Tint from the Violet Group, and Green Galore, a Hue from the Yellow-Green Group. Combined with Basic Black, the main Hue of the Hallowe’en Neutrals, and Pumpkin Pie, a Tone from the Orange Group, the foursome creates an offset Triadic Color Scheme.
This Color Scheme is bright, with high intensity colors. It makes a strong contrast with the Gothic images. But fashions change, so I now have to use Perfect Plum or Wisteria Wonder instead of Lovely Lilac and Pear Pizzazz instead of Green Galore. These colors give a more Vintage look with both the Gothic images and Contemporary images. But while they lasted, I had a lot of fun with my Hallowe’en Favorites!
