I Still Hate Sequins

Sequined Birthday Cake Card = Visit http://www.3amstamper.com

A few months ago, I told you why I hate sequins.  Well, I tried the strip of sequins again and I still hate them!  I was placing them on a stamped image that was part of a whole layer, so I couldn’t wrap them around.  I didn’t have any scissors handy that could handle the tag ends, so they’re still visible.

I will have to break down and glue on individual sequins to cover the end threads before I send this card anywhere.  As far as I’m concerned, the only good way to handle strips of sequins (otherwise known as Sequin Trim) is to sew the rascal on.  Next time, I’ll have to break down and cut out the cake so I can wrap the sequins around it.  Or I’ll just use Dazzling Details glitter glue!

On a positive note, I adore the Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper.  It says “party” all day long!  The main colors are Calypso Coral, Bermuda Bay and Melon MamboThey coordinate with the colors in the DSP, even though Melon Mambo is the only one actually used in the pattern.  Even with those awful sequins, the card looks like a party!

Speaking of DSP, there is still time to get in on the Designer Series Paper sale: buy 3, get 1 free!  See the details here.
