Lacy Spring Greeting Card - Visit

It’s a week into Spring and I was in the mood for a Lacy Spring Greeting Card.  My favorite lace-making tools are the Thinlits Dies.  I thought about really covering this card with a lot of different die-cuts, but I ran out of room for the medium size Butterflies die-cut.  The small Bold Butterfly die-cut was a little large, too.

The Rose Garden Thinlits Dies are quite large so I could only fit two of the small roses on the card front.  I just had room for the greeting!  I thought about adding the rose leaves from the large rose die, but those were too big, too.  I used part of the leaf sprig to enhance the flowers and put the remaining two-leaf cut-outs inside the stamp case so I could find them again easily.  (You can use this tip for storage as long as you have room!)

The Big Shot Die Brush makes it easy to clean out the die.  You can also very carefully run the brush over the die to loosen the die-cut.  Be real careful, however, or you’ll tear the fine lines.  For stubborn die-cuts that won’t drop their cut-outs, the Die Brush works well, too.  Just go slowly.

By the way, the Honeycomb Happiness Stamp Set is a Sale-A-Bration item, free for $50 in products.

Real Life Color Coach LogoReal Life Color Coach note:  I used Rose Red from the Red-Violet Color Group, Blushing Bride from the Orange-Red Color Group, Tempting Turquoise from the Blue-Green Color Group, Garden Green from the Green Color Group and Crushed Curry from the Yellow-Orange Color Group.  These colors are more or less next to each other on the Color Wheel, so I call them my Wide-Angle Analogous Color Scheme.  Depending on the intensity of the colors you use, you can create cards and scrapbook pages of a variety of moods from celebration to remember.
