Peekaboo Peach Moose Birthday Card - Visit

Peekaboo Peach, the Tint of the Orange Color Group, has a Complement in Pacific Point, the Hue of the Blue Color Group.  I wanted a very simple design that would create a Complementary Color Scheme, without overwhelming Peekaboo Peach.  Besides, I wanted to use the moose image from The Wilderness Awaits stamp set!

The card is designed to lie flat, so it’s easy to mail.  I also made it a gate-fold card for added interest.  The moose image layers cover the closure, which is one Mini Glue Dot.  I’ve found that Mini Glue Dots can be used for re-closable cards, as long as you only apply one or two dots.  Otherwise, apply Stampin’ Dimensionals to the overlapping side and use a half-square of hook-and-loop closures.

My gate-fold is an 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” piece of card stock scored at 3” and 7-1/8” on the long edge.  Be sure to crease the folds well with a Bone Folder, otherwise they’ll pop open.  The two sides of the gate will overlap and would stay closed with the moose image layers attached if the layers were embellished with heavy accents or trims.

This color combination is good for Masculine, Birthday, Thank You, Friendship, Graduation (depending on school colors), All Occasion and Get Well cards and scrapbook page themes.
