Melon Mambo Screen Congrats Card - Visit

I thought the Lacy-ness of the Detailed Floral Thinlits™ Dies would make a great 3-D effect as a decorative screen!  The screen is mounted on the end and sides with Foam Adhesive Strips, which are 1/8” thick.  This leaves room to mount the llama image with Stampin’ Dimensionals, which are only 1/16” thick.  The llama is coming out from behind the screen.

Real Life Color Coach LogoI’m also holding on to Summer as you can tell by my color combination.  Using my favorite Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper for the background, I created a Triad Color Scheme with Melon Mambo from the Red-Violet Color Group, Crushed Curry from the Yellow-Orange Color Group and Bermuda Bay from the Green-Blue Color Group.  I’m ignoring the rest because they’re not significant enough for the combination.  A pale tint of Bermuda Bay makes up the overall background of the DSP, behind the streamers.

For the coordinating envelope, I created stencils from card stock and sponged the flap of the Whisper White Medium Envelope with a Sponge Dauber and a Melon Mambo Classic Stampin’ Pad.  One tip: secure the stencil to the envelope flap with Post-It™ Notes or similar so that it doesn’t get out of alignment from enthusiastic sponging!  Instead of storing my stencils in their own Cellophane Bag, I put them in the Thinlits envelope.  For me, they’ll be easier to find.
