Mummy in a Jar Halloween Card - Visit

The Mummy in a Jar makes an adorable Hallowe’en Card that’s fun to make and send.  It’s done in the traditional Hallowe’en colors of Orange and Black with silver and copper accents.

You may remember that I mentioned in my Quick Tip: Coordinating Envelopes article that I’d made a card but forgot to make the coordinating envelope.  This is it!  As you can see, I got out a piece of the Designer Series Paper I’d used on the card front and whipped out an envelope with the Envelope Punch Board.  That makes an easy solution and I didn’t have to get out my stamps again.

The colors I used are matched by the Hallowe’en Night Specialty Designer Series Paper pattern.  The colors include Basic Black, represented by the ink pad and the paper pattern; Pumpkin Pie, which mats the card front layer, is part of the paper pattern and highlights the greeting; Whisper White, the patterned paper background, and Basic Gray, which forms the card base and is also part of the paper pattern.

Silver Foil accents the jar with a carrier-handle.  Copper Metallic Thread is twined with Basic Black Metallic Thread to form a bow on the handle.  I put a piece of Window Sheet over the Mummy image to represent the glass of the jar.

I just love the Jar of Haunts Stamp Set, which I used to make the Mummy in a Jar.   I think it’s my favorite image in the set, although the eyeballs and the floating eyes are close seconds.  You’ll be seeing more of the images here, so check back.
