Real Life Color Coach Color of the Week: Emerald Envy
I was very excited to see Emerald Envy, the new Hue of the Green Color Group, as part of the 2016-2018 In Colors. We’ve needed this Green ever since Glorious Green retired years ago (June or July of 2010)! (Glorious Green was one of the first colors I ever met when I was introduced to Stampin’ Up!® lo. these many years ago!)
Inspired by the Playful Palette Designer Series Paper Stack, I chose to design a Monochromatic Color Scheme with Emerald Envy and Very Vanilla. I also had fun using the Emerald Envy 2016-2018 In Color Enamel Shapes. If you look closely, you’ll see one of each adorning the banner and flowers.
Emerald Envy is a nice, rich Green that also is bright and cheerful. You almost don’t need an extra piece of Very Vanilla on the inside to write or stamp on for your message (unless you’re using white, gold or silver ink-then the Emerald Envy is just fine!). I do, but then I’m mumblety-mumble years old!
As an aside, here is a card from April of 2010 that uses Glorious Green: Faux Lego Card. The original is somewhere safe, so of course I couldn’t find it!
This color combination is truly Any Occasion. It can be Birthday, Friendship, Thank You, Sympathy, Graduation or just about anything else. It’s a great combination for scrapbook pages, too.
