Real Life Color Coach Color of the Week: Pear Pizzazz
Pear Pizzazz is the lighter Tint of the Green-Yellow Color Group and, as I noted in my Old Olive Color of the Week article, has a whole column of companions to help create a Monochromatic Color Scheme. I chose Mossy Meadow for the Contrast Color, because it is nice and dark… and with a nicely bright intensity.
The Monochromatic Scheme for Pear Pizzazz could use any Neutral for the Contrast. It depends upon the mood or theme of your card or page. I like to use members of the same Color Group for Monochromatic Schemes when I can because the scheme is a little less formal.
The From Land to Sea Stamp Set has all kinds of images that are great for coloring. However, I’m making a Monochrome design, so my coloring is limited to the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush. Oh, darn! I could use the Gold Glitter Brush and still have a Monochromatic Scheme, but I like the Clear for its shimmery effect. It goes well with the Pearl Basic Jewel accents on the greeting.
This combination is good for All Occasions from Friendship to Birthday to Graduation (although I usually use school colors) to Get Well to Sympathy. It’s also good for more formal Party Invitations. The same goes for scrapbook pages in those themes… or Just Because!
