Pink Pirouette Snowflake Thank You Card - Visit

Pink Pirouette is the Tint of the Red Color Group. Its companion is the Hue, Real Red. This time, I didn’t want a high-contrast Monochromatic Color Scheme, so I used the Real Red Classic Stampin’ Pad to stamp snowflakes and the greeting on Pink Pirouette card stock. I selected Whisper White as the accent color to give a soft, wintry effect, even though the color is Pink. I love snowflake cards for winter, but I like to do them in different colors sometimes.

I punched out the Pink Pirouette stamped snowflakes with the Snow Flurry Punch. The punch also comes bundled with the Flurry of Wishes Stamp Set so you can have coordinating snowflakes anywhere you like. The punch is designed so you can line up and punch out the smaller pair of snowflakes. I also punched some plain white snowflakes to use as mats, since I hate to “fussy cut” (you know – with scissors!) designs as detailed as these.

The lacy snowflake images go well with the Curvy Corner Trio Punch I used to accent the corners. I also used the corner punch from the Envelope Punch Board on the Whisper White layer, since I was making a coordinating envelope from a Pink Pirouette pattern in the Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack anyway.

This combination works for Winter and would be cute with black & white penguins, too. It’s also obviously good for Weddings, Bridal & Baby Shower, Birthday, Thank You, and any other occasion you want to send a soft pastel card. The scrapbook page themes would be similar.
