Simply Scored Diagonal Plate
The Simply Scored™ Diagonal Plate (125586) is a useful addition to the Simply Scored™ Scoring Tool (122334). The diagonal scoring grooves are 1/8” apart, as they are on the Scoring Tool, and they fill the 12-1/2” x 12-1/2” plate. They also line up with the measurement marks on the edges of the Scoring Tool and lock in place horizontally.
You can make envelopes of a variety of sizes, even a little larger than you can comfortably make with the Envelope Punch Board (133774). You can also score any number of projects that need diagonal folding. plus you can create lattice effects, as I’ve done here. I started the lattice by putting the card stock in the upper corner, then scoring every 3/4”. I turned the card stock upside down and scored the other side of the center, then lined up the edges so I could score the space between. Repeat when you turn the card stock 90 degrees to create the lattice grooves.
It’s a good idea to make sure the Diagonal Plate is fit to the top each time your score, as the plate does move vertically. If you find yourself going “off-line”, score in the correct place and continue on until you’re done. Afterwards, rub out the “off-line” marks on the back of the card stock with the larger ball end of the Simply Scored Stylus. Or attach a tag or embellishment that covers them up! If you miss-score at the end of the card stock, re-do the score lines by sliding the card stock down on the plate or using the stylus with a ruler. Then rub-out the miss-score.
Remember that the Simply Scored Diagonal Plate is retiring at the end of this month, so be sure to get yours while supplies last!
