Spooky Tree Hallowe’en Card
I adore the spooky tree Edgelit from the Halloween Scenes Edgelits™ Dies. This inspired me to make a silhouette Hallowe’en card in Orange and Black.
I experimented with using the Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper and putting the Basic Black die-cuts on it, but I found that the glitter was a little distracting. The images really pop on the Pumpkin Pie Card Stock.
Basic Black and Pumpkin Pie create a traditional Hallowe’en Monochromatic Color Scheme. This same color scheme is found in my oldest granddaughter’s high school colors, the San Francisco Giants of Major League Baseball team colors and the Chicago Bears National Football League team colors. These are just off the top of my head. I’ve also heard of the color scheme being used for an October Wedding… depends on the bride and groom! It could be used for Fall-themed projects, but I know the combination makes me think of Hallowe’en first.
Tip: Put a layer of Pumpkin Pie Card Stock on the inside to stamp or write your message so it can be seen. The White Stampin’ Chalk Marker will work on the Basic Black inside alone.
