I showed you some of the components of my Spring Things Made My Day Card in my article, “Glimmer Paper to Dye For.”  The photo lets you see how everything came out!

The inspiration for dying Glimmer Paper came from using a previous design for my usual post on Saint Patrick’s Day.  I didn’t have any new St. Paddy’s Day images, just the greeting, so I thought about what I could do instead to make a new design.

One of my main elements for a St. Patrick’s Day card is the shamrock.  Heart shapes make good clover or shamrock leaves.  Just punch or die-cut 3 or 4 and adhere them on top of a stem.  I used heart Framelits™ and die-cut three shapes from the newly dyed Glimmer Paper.  I free-hand cut a stem from scraps of the Emerald Envy Card Stock

I missed making a St. Patrick’s Day card and I knew I was running out of time for making an Easter card, so I decided to combine elements to make a card for Spring.  Both of these celebrations occur in Spring, so the card design fits.

I used the chocolate bunny image and stamped it on Chocolate Chip Card Stock with the Whisper White Craft Pad.  When that dried, I painted the bunny with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen to give it gloss.  The bunny represents Easter, although I personally think it should be year-round.  It is chocolate, after all.  When the bunny was dry, I attached a medium Pearl Basic Jewel over the eye.  The bunny also needed something to emphasize it.  That called for a Blossom Bunch punch-out with Flirty Flamingo Card Stock.
