Sunshine Wishes Gallery-Project 2
The second project in my new Sunshine Wishes Gallery by fellow paper crafter and reader Rebecca Boling, Guest Artist, is a Valentine that can also be used for an Anniversary Card. This design shows you the flower Thinlit in use, along with the word “love”.
In the previous article, Sunshine Wishes Gallery – Project 1, I talked about the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits™ Dies. This card uses the flower die-cut in two colors and one of the words. I also discussed how you can attach the die-cut shapes, especially the swirly ones.
To make the flower on the stem in two colors, die-cut the image twice: once on red card stock and once on green. The Big Shot™ Die-Cutting Machine and the Big Shot™ Magnetic Platform make the die-cutting easier. Snip off the stems and attach the green one to the red flower. The green flower can be used for leaves on another design and the red stem can become a perch for a bird or something. Hide the join with a red bow. Glue Dots will keep the bow secure as well as connect the flower to the stem and both to the card front.
The black hearts on a white background paper give a great “love” tone to the card. The paper is layered on a white card base and looks very elegant. The red embellishments add touches of fun. This could also be used as a Friendship card, too.
Thank you again, Rebecca, for sharing this beautiful Love Card! And thank you for being my Guest Artist today.
