I love the Sweet Cupcake Stamp Setsee the Dapper Denim, Color of the Week, article.  I also adore the coordinating Cupcake Cutouts Framelits™ Dies.  I just had to play with them and with the 2016-2018 In Colors of Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach and Sweet Sugarplum Card Stock.

I stamped the two cupcake images with a Soft Suede Classic Stampin’ Pad.  I thought that would accent the die-cuts well, besides hinting at chocolate flavoring underneath.

If you don’t have the new Big Shot™ Platform and Precision Base Plate, you will need to run the Sweet Sugarplum word die through about four times to get it to cut cleanly.  You can also use the Big Shot™ Die Brush to help remove the die-cut from the Thinlit.  Just be gentle!

Be sure to use a very thin line of glue from the Fine Tip Glue Pen to adhere the word.  If the glue seeps out, blot it off with a paper towel.  If you miss blotting part of the image, the glue will give an enamel look.  Just coat the glue on the card stock of the word after it’s adhered and let it dry thoroughly.  Note that if you die-cut the word from foil, the glue isn’t that noticeable.

This card design is good for Birthday or Friendship.  It can also be used for Baby, Bridal or Congratulations, as well as other Party and Celebration occasions.  It’s also a good combination for scrapbook pages with these themes.  I would use a color-block effect with the Designer Series Paper if you’re putting that as your background on the page.

Real Life Color Coach LogoDisregarding the Playful Palette Designer Series Paper Stack background, the color combination of Sweet Sugarplum from the Violet-Red Color Group, Flirty Flamingo from the Red-Orange Color Group and Peekaboo Peach from the Orange Color Group create an Analogous Plus Color Scheme.  As I did, just consolidate the two tertiary color groups and skip over Red.  Then the three colors are side-by-side!

Even if you include the DSP colors of Emerald Envy from the Green Color Group and Blushing Bride from the Orange-Red Color Group, you’ve still got an Analogous Plus SchemeEmerald Envy has Split Complements in Violet-Red and Red-Orange, so the scheme could be Complementary Plus.  I settled on Analogous Plus because there are more colors that are mostly Analogous and Emerald Envy is one of the background colors.
