Try Some Polynesian Pop

Polynesian Village Bed in the Hotel Room

The runner at the end of the bed features flowers that inspired me to go for some Polynesian Pop in a Color Scheme.  The bed is in our hotel room at the Polynesian Village Resort in Walt Disney World.  You can probably tell by my jacket laying on the bed that we’ve just moved in on our vacation.

The Color Scheme in the runner features Real Red, Peekaboo Peach, Pumpkin Pie, Delightful Dijon and Early Espresso.  This Color Combination is Analogous, if you consolidate the Red-Orange Color Group with the Red and Orange Color Groups, then stop at the Yellow-Orange Color GroupRemember that Early Espresso is a Neutral and doesn’t count in the Color Scheme.

I plan on putting flowers in these colors on a background like I described in my article, “A Subtle Tile Background.”  You’ll see this sample in a few days.  The Mint Macaron in the tile will add a Complementary touch and change the Color Scheme to Analogous Plus.
