What I Love About Thinlits, et al
What do I love about Thinlits™, Framelits™ and Edgelits™ for the Big Shot™ Die-Cutting Machine (143263)? You can save paper so easily!
The thin metal dies make it easy to use your scraps. I particularly like how small a piece of Designer Series Paper I can use for certain images! In the photo of the Bear Hugs Framelits™ Dies (140275) for example, the tiny die image on top of the bear shape will die-cut a hat and the bow shape inside the bear shape will die-cut a bow tie. You can stamp the image from the Bear Hugs Stamp Set (139543 – w, 139546 – c) on solid paper or card stock and use the smallest corner pieces to cut them out.
You can also die-cut several of the small images at once. Just be sure you are using only Framelits or only Thinlits or only Edgelits to make sure the pressure on the dies is even. I like to use the Big Shot™ Magnetic Platform (130658) for these dies because they’ll stay in place. If some of the dies need to be secured with Post-Its™ or similar, put a Post-It over each one. Again, this is to make sure the pressure on the dies is even so the dies will cut through evenly.
I think the hardest part of all this is choosing what scraps to use!
